Beta terms & Privacy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

By requesting or using a Scratch ADR public beta license, you agree to the beta program terms and responsible-use rules below, and to our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

Beta program

During the public beta, Scratch ADR is provided under a time-limited license (typically 30 days) delivered by email. The beta is free and does not require a credit card.

The beta may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time. Features, performance, and compatibility may differ from a future paid release. The software is provided without warranty to the extent permitted by law.

Paid subscriptions are planned after the public beta. We will announce pricing and timing before beta licenses expire or before paid plans replace the beta program.

Responsible use

Scratch ADR is a professional post-production tool for temp ADR and editorial workflow. Use it accordingly:

  • Generate temporary dialogue for cuts, previews, and internal or client review.
  • Use reference audio only when the voice owner or rights holder has consented to that use for your project.
  • Treat output as temporary dialogue. Final ADR should be recorded with the actual talent where required.
  • Do not use synthetic dialogue to misrepresent who is speaking or to deceive viewers, clients, or rights holders.
  • Comply with applicable law and your project agreements. You are responsible for consent and how you use generated output.

Reference audio and generated takes are processed on your Mac. They are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal app use.

More detail on permitted and prohibited use is in the Mac app under Help → Legal & ethical. The full End User License Agreement is shown when you first launch the app.

Privacy

When you sign up for the beta, we collect your email address to issue your license and communicate about the beta. Contact form messages and optional usage statistics in the app are described in our full Privacy Policy, including your GDPR rights and how to contact us.
